Manusoft Brings Complete Mold Design and Assembly System Capabilities to SolidWorks 2010 CAD Software

Singapore, 26 February 2010 – Manusoft Technologies Pte Ltd today announced the release of IMOLD V10, the latest version with new and exciting user driven enhancements of its complete and easy-to-use Computer-aided Mold Design (CAMD) software, IMOLD. IMOLD V10 supports SolidWorks® 2010 3D CAD software with new capabilities for customizing moldbase assemblies. “Most molds are customized, IMOLD V10 is a step forward in that direction,” said T.C. Goon, GM Manusoft Technologies.

IMOLD V10 is engineered to reduce design time of mold designers worldwide with its significant improvement in all round performance and help reduce carbon footprints by getting the molds right – before it is built.

Manusoft also further enhanced its EDM that automates time-consuming and repetitive tasks for electrode extraction, documentation and machining. Electrode makers can now easily and quickly design electrodes utilizing new, advanced surfacing functions. The EDM identifies burn areas by interactive-automated recognition of bosses and easily extends tangential surfaces to shape the electrode.  New options are available for adding extension distance with multiple vertical, angular or tangential extensions.

SolidWorks 2010 is focused on optimizing core design functions so users can more quickly and intelligently achieve their goals. It also includes hundreds of new enhancements specifically requested by customers.

The new version of SolidWorks improves designers’ and engineers’ productivity with new capabilities like rapid dimensions, enhanced mirrored components, and heads-up mouse gesturing. These capabilities let designers and engineers work smarter and faster while minimizing menu navigation.

A SolidWorks Certified Gold Partner Product, IMOLD delivers mold design capabilities to SolidWorks users. The combination of IMOLD V10 and SolidWorks 2010 provides the complete and integrated mold design and assembly system.

“IMOLD delivers the complete mold design functionality engineers need,” said Nick Iwaskow, SolidWorks Manager, Alliances. “Together, IMOLD V10 and SolidWorks 2010 give engineers the innovative tools and productivity to streamline product development and be more successful.”
